We welcome back our students this week on Thursday 6th February. Staff have had 4 Staff Development days to get ready for the year ahead.
Next week on Friday 14th February we look forward to our annual Greater Kengal Swimming Carnival at the Lockhart Pool. More details will be sent to parents in regard to the cost of entering the pool and if a canteen is available on the day.
We also welcome our new Scripture teacher, Claire Lawson. She will commence her scripture lessons on Friday 21st February.
We have a very busy year ahead and look forward to another great year in 2025.
A Mother’s 1st Day of School Prayer
I wonder what you’re doing now,
And if everyone is treating you kind.
I hope that there is a special person,
A nice friend that you can find.
I wonder if the teacher knows
Just how special you are to me.
And if the brightness of your heart
Is something she can see.
I wonder if you are thinking about me,
And if you need a hug.
I already miss the sound of your voice
And how you give my leg a tug.
I wonder if you could possibly understand
How hard it is for me to let you grow
On this day know that my heart breaks
For this is the first step in letting you go.
Pleasant Hills Pre School
Pleasant Hills preschool starts back on Tuesday 4th February.
There is now a shade sail over the sandpit to allow for more playtime in the warmer months. Thank you to Mia (director) and Jarrod for working hard to add the new sand for the sandpit. The kids will be so excited to play in it.
