Instead of having a meeting in November, we’re having our Christmas Break-up and meeting at Kay Dean’s home in Morven on Wednesday, 4th December, starting at the earlier time of 10am.
Riverina Group Council Meeting was at Narrandera on 25th November, and we had a car-load attending. Narrandera has recently come into our Group after Sturt Group folded, and this is our first Group function at Narrandera.
Congratulations to Kay Dean on coming second in the Group with her Cultural Report for 2024!
Several little wallets have been stitched by Branch members to be included in the Delegates bags for State Conference in May next year and we will be handing them in at the Group Council Meeting.
Don’t forget the Land Cookery for next Meeting is a Light Fruit Cake and a Steamed Fruit Pudding. Members are asked to bring something to the meeting to add to a Christmas Hamper for the needy, and for a bit of fun, something for Kris Kringle either bought at an op shop or upcycled in the colours red or green.
Our grateful thanks to Virginia Clancy for all the work she has put into getting the Pleasant Hills Newsletter organised and printed each month again this year, it is most appreciated, and we all enjoy reading it.
Our first meeting in the New Year will be at the Albury Commercial Club on Wednesday, 12th March at 10.30am. Anybody interested is welcome to attend.
Wishing everyone best wishes for the Festive Season and good health and happiness for the New Year.
Lyn Jacobsen, Pleasant Hills CWA
