You may have noticed that the courts are now finished! We have four brand new courts to play on, which is very exciting. There was enough funding via the council to complete the fencing around those courts as well. We hope to acquire further funding to continue the fencing around the remainder in the future. We sincerely thank Lockhart Shire Council for making this all possible.
Coaching and Competition
Tennis coach Matt Hort visited for junior coaching during the holidays, with 20 children enjoying a morning of tennis and a sausage sizzle.
The season has now started:
- Section 2: Had a bye in round one and a loss in round two to a strong Walbundrie side. Unfortunately, round three was a win by forfeit, so they haven't yet played on the new courts!
- Section 6: A young team enjoying their first season. They had a close loss to East Albury in round two and another loss in round three, but are showing great spirit.
Thanks to everyone for getting the surrounds ready for the season.
