Spring Morning

The sun was shining bright, The lake was twinkling light, The grass had that fresh mowed smell, And the breeze was only slight.

The birds were in their song, They lasted fairly long, The trees were waving casually, And I could feel no wrong.

The flowers opened wide, The bees no longer hide, The keeper shared his honey ‘round, And beamed with open pride.

For Spring at last came by.
