Having great friends and family is simply the best If you’re in this position, then you are truly blessed. Your network surrounds you with those you hold dear, You can face all life’s challenges without any fear.
All friendships are special, and some are unique Some of our best pals have fur and four feet A good friend will be there when emotions are raw, And bring you your slippers when your feet are too sore.
Some friends will live close by and some care from a far All friendships are valued wherever they are. There are those who send emails and those who will call And some will text daily at dawn and night fall.
There are folk who are content with more solo pursuits They sit reading quietly while a cat sleeps on their boots. For those avid readers there are friends on each page, While others share secrets with a pet bird in its cage.
Many cousins and siblings and twins have a bond Connected by affection and especially fond Such kinship is remarkable and always good fun To share life’s adventures with your very best chum.
So, let’s celebrate our colleagues, our comrades and mates They know when to hug us and when we need space Through good times and bad times or when you’re just blue Your friends and your family will always be there for you.
