Greater Kengal Cross Country
The carnival held on the last day of Term 1 was a great success, with students from Boree Creek and Yerong Creek joining us. Congratulations to Yerong Creek for winning the championship trophy, narrowly beating Pleasant Hills and Boree Creek.
Special mention to Samantha and James Terlich for winning the Senior Girl and Junior Boy medals. We have 12 students representing Greater Kengal at the SR Cross Country at Jindera on the 8th May and wish them the best of luck. Thanks to the P&C committee for a fantastic job with the BBQ.
High School Transition
Billabong High School recently facilitated team-building activities to help our students form friendships and develop social skills as part of their transition program. The feedback from the students was overwhelmingly positive.
Facility Updates
- Figtree Playground: The quotation for replacing the rubberised soft fall has been accepted, with work to be completed soon.
- ANZAC Day: local families attended a successful ANZAC commemoration at the Hall. Thank you to the students and parents who helped with food and cleaning, and to Emily Turner for the music.
- Pre School: Outside play is now sun-safe thanks to a new shade sail over the sandpit.
