Best Foot Forward

It is a wondrous thing, Uncanny though it is, That only one toe, Could be the best in the biz’.

The big toe you see, Is larger than small, And it juts proudly forward, So we all can stand tall.

Sometimes it can be a worry, And a very terrible thing, But the dead of night has a frightful bite, When you stub it and yell from the sting,

A very important tool though, Economically sure and sound, If it wasn’t for big toes, we couldn’t wear thongs, And we’d all have to walk on the ground.

Wise Words for 2025: Lessons 22 – 42

  1. The most important sex organ is the brain.
  2. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.
  3. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: 'In five years, will this matter?'
  4. Always choose life.
  5. Forgive but don’t forget.
  6. What other people think of you is none of your business.
  7. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.
  8. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
  9. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
  10. Believe in miracles.
  11. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
  12. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.
  13. Your children get only one childhood.
  14. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.
  15. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.
  16. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.
  17. Envy is a waste of time. Accept what you already have, not what you need.
  18. The best is yet to come...
  19. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
  20. Yield.
  21. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift.
