Although our April meeting was a smaller group, it was incredibly productive. Members worked on various UFOs (Unfinished Objects), including a nappy bag pattern cleverly converted into an ironing pad and sewing notions holder.
Murder Mystery and Masterpieces
Two of our patchworkers are currently working on the "Murder at Machu Picchu" block-of-the-month project—a quilt that solves a crime! We also celebrated the completion of several "Black Outlined Pole Twist" quilts; they were so large that photos had to be taken from the stage steps!
Next Meeting: 17th May
Our next meeting will focus on the "Whirlwind Block" (also known as Modern Envelope, Twin Sisters, or Water Wheel). The challenge is set for members to create a block or a full quilt using their preferred layout. As always, you are welcome to continue working on your own projects.
