Greater Kengal Swimming Carnival
Our school had a great day at the Lockhart swimming pool on Friday 14th February with Boree and Yerong Creek schools. The weather held out for us with cloudy and cooler conditions with a small amount of rain after the carnival was finished.
Congratulations to Yerong Creek for winning the Championship trophy this year with Pleasant Hills coming Second. Well done to all our students who attended the carnival with many of them receiving place certificates on the day. Congratulations to Samantha Terlich and Caitlin Barker who have qualified to race in the SRPSSA carnival in Albury on Friday 21st February. Thank you to all the parents for their support with travel arrangements too.
Sporting Schools Grant
Our school is excited to receive a grant in Term 1 for tennis coaching at Pleasant Hills Public School. Tennis Australia helped us find a qualified coach Brock Dixon. He and another helper will coach our students over the next 5 weeks starting Wednesday 26th February.
Responsible Pet Program Visit
Our students are looking forward to the Pet program on the 11th March where a Pet Educator brings a therapy dog to our school to demonstrate the “Meet & Greet” program.
Children’s Educational Theatre Touring Show
We are fortunate to have a free performance at our school on Thursday 3rd April by the travelling theatre company. We look forward to watching “The King and Queen of Greens Realm of Rubbish”.
