Well 7 ladies braved the cold and were snug and warm in the Pleasant Hills Hall last Saturday. Lots of productive work on many UFO's as can be seen by the collage above.
Our next meet is 20 July where we have a new project being a Book Review Wallhanging or Quilt or make a smaller version as a Library Book Bag or cushion for a reading nook. The Book Review pattern is by Jenny Doan of Missouri Star Quilt Co and is available to watch on YouTube. Jenny shows step by step and also offers other variations of books, cats, vases, and more to put on the bookcase shelves.
This pattern uses layer cakes, but you can use up your scrap fabrics at various widths from 1" to 2 ½ " wide. Jenny doesn't use the fabric selvedges but if you have collected them you may sew them onto the strips. Fabrics that have words on or look like a book wrap cover will work perfectly too. If you prefer to keep working on your UFO's then bring those.
