After the rain when the wind is still, After the rain when the air is clean, The trees are silent and the leaves glisten, The mist lingers and the shadows fade, The new drops sparkle and the grasses whisper, And the perfume rests upon my nose.

After the rain when the streams all flow, After the rain when the roads are washed, The clouds hang heavy and grey and wet, The birds chirp and the puddles gather, The last drip falls lonely from the glimmering roof, And the sun speaks to a world that is new.
