How to Participate
Adult-sized beanies need to be delivered to Dale’s Electrical Store by May 25th, 2024.
Festival Sections:
- Just a Beanie
- Colourful
- Novelty
- Down by the Sea
Basic Beanie Pattern (8ply wool, No. 4 needles)
- Cast on 84, 88, or 92 stitches.
- Knit 2 purl 2 until measures 4cm.
- Knit 1 row, purl back until work measures 7 or 8cm.
- Decrease: Knit 2 together, knit 10 (repeat across row). Purl back.
- Decrease: Knit 2 together, knit 9 (repeat across row). Purl back.
- Continue pattern until only "Knit 2 together, knit 1" remains.
- Knit 2 together all along row.
- Thread through remaining stitches and sew up seam.
