Almost halfway through the season already! There’s been some close matches and after round 7, sec 3a sits in 5th place, (had a draw with 1st placed Howlong), sec 5 in 3rd and sec 6 in 4th. Sec 6 have shown much improvement from last season which is great to see. In the new year, we say farewell to Luke Stein (moving to Adelaide) & Ebony Williams to Darwin. Shortly after that, Lucy Bennett will be heading to Sydney to uni. We will miss them all & appreciate their efforts in travelling to play tennis.
Anyone wanting to see some good young players should come to watch Micah & Aaron Lieschke play- very impressive & play with great sportsmanship.
Carol Smith.
