Our recent Street Stall was very successful, and a big thank you to the members who were able to help. It was lovely to have Natalie Hasler come along with her Nan, Margaret to help since she had a pupil free day from school.

We held a raffle as well for the Gidget Foundation (which supports young mums and mums-to-be who are having difficulties) and this made $96 plus over $1000 was raised at the Stall, with half going to the Gidget Foundation and the other half going to the CWA Disaster Relief Fund.

Wendy drove to Sydney recently to attend her father’s 100th Birthday Celebrations! What an achievement, and one very few of us ever get the chance to go to! We hope Wendy had a wonderful time catching up with family!

We’ve had two members who have recently had surgery and glad to know that they’re both now on the mend. We have a Group Council Meeting at the end of November in Wagga which some members hope to attend.

We are holding our Christmas party on Wednesday, 6th December, starting at 10.30am at the Peard’s Borella Rd Café. We are having Henty Evening Branch join us for our party. For the Kris Kringle, we are asked to either buy something from an Op Shop or “oncycle” something to the value of up to $10.00, with the colour scheme this year being Silver and Blue! We have found these gifts create lots of fun!

Member are reminded to please bring their tickets – sold or unsold – in our Christmas raffle which has 3 prizes, as we will be drawing it at our party.

Our grateful thanks once again to Virginia Clancy for compiling the Pleasant Hills Newsletter, we are so lucky to have this to keep us all up to date with what is happening at “The Hills”. This is a lot of work, and we appreciate Virginia and other’s work each month.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Festive Season, and a nice break, and looking forward to seeing you all again next year!
