We held our monthly meeting at the Commercial Golf Club for somewhere different. A carload of members attended the Riverina Group Conference at Collingullie, and our Publicity Book has been completed and sent in for judging.

Henty Field Days

Our members were very involved in the Henty Field Days once again. We provided baking—cakes, slices, and scones—and themed the Stage for the Country Lifestyle Pavilion with a 1960’s theme, marking 60 years since the Field Days started.

Nett gave a demonstration with mosaics, while Lyn gave talks on life and cooking in the 1960’s, comparing the differences over 60 years. Our ladies also put together a selection of sewing aids for the State International Officer.

The weather was particularly hot on the Tuesday—the warmest we've experienced in the pavilion—and our ladies worked hard keeping the fridges stacked with cold drinks. Our involvement with the Fashion Parades and Natural Fibre Awards also continues to be a highlight, with an extra parade featuring 1960s fashions this year.

The cakes raffled at the Field Days raised over $900 for Leukaemia, Mental Health, and Country Hope.
