Tax Time Blues
That dreaded time has come again,
The end of financial year.
It’s time to reconcile the books,
It’s something most will fear.
There’s stock to count and bills to pay,
Lost dockets to be found.
I’m sure it hasn’t been a year
Since tax time rolled around!
I’ll try to avoid the paperwork
Much longer than I should.
I’m sure I filed that receipt away
I’d find it if I could.
Procrastinating doesn’t help
All excuses have been spun.
I’ll send it to my accountant friend
And they will get it done.
