A time to remember, to pause and reflect, It’s now we should question our own intellect. So much that was fought for, so much that was lost. So many years later still counting the cost.
What has war taught us? What have we learned? Do our enemies still haunt us, their souls perhaps burned? Families still grieving yet daily they try, To grasp why on earth did their loved one die.
So here’s to the Anzacs, for your bravery and strength, And a plea to our leaders – don’t sit on the fence. Encourage us to listen and look out for our mates. A new generation of Australia awaits.
