The Esplanade is a Pleasant Hills community Tidy Towns project to enhance an area of Grassy Box Woodland. It features species like White and Grey Box, White Cypress Pine, and various wattles, and is home to the Grey-crowned Babbler.
In 2022, it was announced that we were given $100,000 in funding for the Esplanade. Plans include natural material footpaths, bird hides constructed of sleepers, and pictorial references to local flora and fauna.
If the funding isn't spent by June 30th, it will be withdrawn. A public consultation process will begin shortly, with plans available for viewing at the Post Office.
