The pub has had another busy month in October, with a very successful Indian food night, compliments of Annie from The Railway Hotel in Lockhart. I would like to thank her very much for preparing and delivering the meals out to Pleasant Hills. There are still some meals available at the hotel in takeaway containers @$35 per meal. Sheree made cocktails for the night, for Sam Rutland’s bucks’ party. The next cocktail night is Saturday 5th November 2022.
The following weekend saw Cindy Scott’s birthday on Saturday for lunch, with the tables set up on verandah. Thank you to Cindy & Steven for holding the party at the pub. They generously allowed us to use the chairs for our Sunday lunch the next day. Sunday lunch saw 59 people attend with thanks to Belinda and the wait staff.
I know December is a busy time for all of us but, we will be having a Christmas party at some stage. It is hard to find a suitable date but, Friday 23rd looks to be the best time we will discuss it at the next committee meeting and confirm in next month’s newsletter.
The pub is open on Sunday afternoons on a trial basis for the next few months, it opens at 2.00pm. Thanks to Marty and Laurie for doing this. Please come down for a Sunday session and show your support.
We are hosting the Wagga Rotary Club for lunch on Sunday 30th October, thanks to Col Weise for organising this. Please keep supporting the pub either by getting on a roster to cook or work the bar or just come down for a drink and a chat and help keep the doors open.
Also thanks to Hugh and the team from Delta in Henty for holding a pre-harvest grower meeting on Thursday 20th October. This was a most informative evening well attended by local farmers, thanks to Annie and Catherine for their catering efforts.
