We held our Annual Meeting in Albury, with a good number of members attending. Wendy hopes to attend the Handicraft learning day at Tarcutta later this month.

The Rock Show has been postponed until 12th November, due to inclement weather, and our Branch is planning on having an entry in the CWA exhibit. The Branch took cakes to Conference which were collected for the Kurrajong Fete. A carload of members attended the Group Conference at Uranquinty and reported that it was a great day.

Margaret and Lyn L are planning on attending The Rock Branch’s International Day. Lyn J reported that she had been in contact with Lockhart Shire and that the Centenary Chair was still a work in progress.

Our thoughts are going out to the many areas that are dealing with a flood crisis, and no doubt we will be having a fund raiser to do our bit to help out. The next Group Council Meeting will be held at Galore on 28th November, and three members are hoping to attend.

Our Christmas party will be held at Brady’s Hotel, and the gift colour scheme is gold or silver, and can be re-cycled or bought from an op shop. This idea created a lot of fun last year. In the Land Cookery, the cake was a Gluten-free Orange Cake, which was won by junior cook, Jessica Maloney, and second place was Kay Dean. Next Month, the competition will be a Boiled Fruit Cake, a fruit pudding boiled in a cloth, and Lemon and Carrot marmalade.

For our Annual Meeting, Mrs Lynette Buck, Murray Group President took the Chair, and all positions are the same except that we now have an Agricultural and Environment Officer, so thank you Wendy, and thank you to everyone for filling all the positions.

Our next meeting with be our Christmas Break up at Brady’s Hotel, starting at 10am on Wednesday, 30th November.

Mrs Lynette Buck, Murray Group President
