We celebrated our International Meeting at the Pleasant Hills Primary School, supplying a lunch of Latvian dishes for everyone. The students shared what they had learned about Latvia, and we were joined by guest speakers Mrs Jenny Chobdynzki and Mrs Fi Gaston.
Our small branch has donated over $3,000 this year, including $1,500 to NSW Flood victims. Other donations went to the Royal Flying Doctor Service, Angel Flight, Care Flight, and the Albury Cancer Hospital fundraiser. We also supported the petition to eliminate out-of-pocket expenses for radiotherapy in Wagga Wagga and Griffith.
Plans are now underway for our Country Lifestyle pavilion at the Henty Field Days. To celebrate 100 years of CWA in NSW, we will be hosting a Mini Fashion Parade featuring fashions from every decade.
Our next meeting will be in Henty at the Henty B&B on 14th September at 10.30am.
