Our July meeting was held in Albury, chaired by Vice President Margaret Hasler. We were delighted to welcome our newest junior member, 7-year-old Jessica Maloney, who was presented with her membership badge. Jessica has already begun learning cooking skills for Land Cookery.
This year we are studying Latvia. Our International Meeting will be held at Pleasant Hills School on 10th August, starting with a luncheon at 12.30pm. This is open to everyone! We will taste Latvian dishes and hear from guest speakers Mrs Jenny Chobdynzki (State International Officer) and Mrs Fi Gaston (Group International Officer).
We are also conducting a Lamington fund-raiser for the Albury Cancer Hospital in mid-August and helping raise funds for a new Portable ECG machine for Albury Base Hospital. State President Mrs Joy Beames will be visiting the Riverina Group in August, and we will join Henty Branch for a luncheon on Saturday 20th August.
