Marie Jacobsen and Tim Gale were married in Leeton on Saturday 7th May 2022. It was a joyous wedding with a lovely afternoon tea on the church lawns.

The couple arrived in classic cars with special significance. Marie and her dad, Jim, arrived in the same car that Marie’s mother Lyn arrived in for her wedding 55 years and 3 weeks earlier. The car was owned and driven by Gary Frohling.

Marie’s wedding dress had generations of significance, incorporating pieces from her great-grandmother’s veil and her grandmother’s wedding dress. The wedding date was also the 82nd wedding anniversary of Marie’s grandparents, Eula and Arne Jacobsen. As they walked out of the church, Marie’s Aunty Alice gave her a horseshoe—the same one Marie’s mother Lyn was given at her wedding in 1973.

Tim and Marie now live in Tooraweenah, at the gateway to the Warrumbungle Mountains.
