Our May Meeting was held in Henty. Riverina Group is celebrating the CWA of NSW Centenary Year with a Luncheon in Wagga Wagga on Saturday, 4th June. We are grateful to Bunnings, Albury for their raffle gifts for this event.
Nett and Margaret gave a report on the 100th CWA Conference in Sydney. Mrs Jenny Chobdyzinski (Oura Branch) is the new State International Officer, and Mrs Fi Gaston (Euberta Branch) was elected as the new Group International Officer. The only Riverina Group Land Cookery prize at State was a third prize awarded to Lyn Jacobsen for her Lamingtons.
Our Branch had on display at Conference some of our State prize-winning Publicity Books and a postcard of the Hall painted by the late Gerry Willis. Far North Coast Group sent a Thank You card for the $500 Flood Relief we sent directly to them.
Our sympathy is extended to the Hasler family on the passing of Ron. The Hasler family is our only family to have three generations of women involved in CWA.
Our next Meeting will be held at the Commercial Club, Albury on 9th June, starting at 10.30am.
