With some 64 tennis players in action over 30 motor cars lined up on two sides and a large number of onlookers it is estimated that over 250 attended the night tennis courts on Saturday evening. The majority of those present had not attended at the night courts before and they were loud in their praises concerning the work of Mr Henry Davis in providing Lockhart (Shire) with this attraction. There were players present from Albury, Lockhart, Galore, Jackson’s Waterholes, Urana, Cullivel and Brookong North. Source: Albury banner and Wodonga express 31 Jan 1930 page 41
