Another year is drawing to a close, and we thank the community for their support through the lockdowns which restricted us more this year than last. We are hopeful for a return to a 'new normal' after Christmas.
Awards and Recognition
Our Christmas Party on 1st December was a special occasion with happy surprises for two members:
- Narelle Morey was presented with a CWA of NSW Life Membership by Elaine Armstrong AM. Narelle joined in 1987 and has contributed immensely, including winning the Best Actress Award in 1990 for her roles in our biennial concerts.
- Bev Frohling was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by Riverina Group President Carol Grylls. A member since 2007, Bev has worked tirelessly behind the scenes, including managing stage decorum at Henty Field Days and our scone and lamington stalls.
Looking Ahead
Uranquinty Branch is planning a “Sconeversations” event on Rural Mental Health on 18th February in Wagga Wagga.
Our next meeting will be at the Commercial Club in Albury on Wednesday, 9th February at 10:30am.
