Well, 2021 has finally arrived, so best wishes to all for a Happy New Year.
Our last meeting was held prior to our Christmas party which was a nice social luncheon and we combined with the Henty Evening Girls at Soden’s Hotel in Albury. A large selection of goods were collected at our Christmas party and given to one of the organisations doing Christmas Hampers for the needy.
We were proud of new member, Toni Hasler and her friend’s walk from Culcairn to Henty, raising $3000 for their Breast Cancer Group. Our Branch also gave a $300 donation to the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Trust Fund.
We recently participated in the State judging of the Volunteer Team of the Year Awards as a State Finalist. Congratulations to our raffle winners: Lance Hamson (Ryobi Plus 1 Home Essentials Kit) and Izzy McRae (Sophie Conran Oval Plate).
The combined Group Handicraft and Land Cookery Day is planned for Saturday, March 13th at the Uranquinty Hall.
