Effective 1st November 2020, fire permits will be available across the Riverina zones. In addition to standard permit conditions, the following local conditions will apply:
- Permits will only be issued for the purpose of creating a fire break around rural infrastructure.
- Burns are to be completely extinguished prior to being left unattended;
- No timber of any nature may be burnt;
- No burning on Public Holidays;
- Permits for Sunday burning will be issued on a case-by-case basis by the Fire Control Centre.
Maintenance roster will be coming out in the next week or so. Pleasant Hills Bushfire Brigade Maintenance Sunday’s at 4pm. Please remember to arrange your own swap if required.
