CWA — Volunteer of the Year Regional Winners and Lamington Drive

Members were very excited to learn that our small Pleasant Hills CWA Team had been named Volunteer of the Year Team winners for the Riverina Region on 11th August! We are now looking forward to the finals, to be held in December.

We have been doing mini lamington drives on a weekly basis to raise funds, since all our usual fund-raisers have been curtailed. August is the month when we allocate our funds, and we’ve still managed to give worthwhile amounts to several charities.

The CWA of NSW recently presented a cheque for $36,400 to Endometriosis research, being the money raised for the past 12 months.

In The Land Cookery, the Donna Latter cake was won by Eunice, second Lyn J, whilst Lyn won the Gluten-free Caramel Walnut Slice. Next month we are having Plain Butter Cake, Carrot & Ginger Loaf, and Banana Bread.
