A SERIOUS MISHAP — November 29, 1911

While Mr Wm. Thomas was unloading wheat at Lockhart railway station, he had the misfortune to rupture himself. He was taken to Dr. Hamilton’s private hospital for a successful operation.

Trotting Success — July 1912

Mr Kotzur, junr. of Pleasant Hills sold a promising young colt by the well-known trotting stallion “Kentucky” for eighty guineas at a recent Wagga meeting. Kentucky, owned by Mr Alf. Smith, retired from racing with a long list of wins, known for being a true gaited trotter with much stamina.

Recreation Reserve — December 10, 1913

The Public Works Department notified that the Pleasant Hills Recreation Reserve was Gazetted on September 24th. The reserve has come a long way since those early days.
