We met at the Henty CWA rooms prior to Field Days for our meeting. We have purchased some notices to promote CWA projects which we can use when having stalls. Our members made slices and sandwiches to sell at the Field Days for Riverina Group CWA, and many worked at the event.
CWA teamed with Rural, Regional & Remote Mental Health to bring awareness of mental health in the bush. We held two “Sconversation Days” at Bunnings to hand out pamphlets and sell scones, with proceeds going to the Royal Flying Doctor Service, CWA Educational Grants, and the Medical Scholarship for Endometriosis.
We are now planning to make up Pamper Packs for women in areas doing it tough due to the ongoing drought. We aim to fill large cosmetic bags with little “niceties” to give them a lift for Christmas. Anyone wishing to donate goodies or money for this cause can contact any of our members.
