Our big news this month is the purchase of a Defibrillator Machine for the Pleasant Hills Community. Thanks to the generosity of Bendigo Bank and our recent scone stalls, we are now in a position to secure this life-saving equipment. It will be located at the Pleasant Hills Community Hotel for easy access.
August is our month for allocating funds. Thanks to our scone stalls (and Manildra Flour for supplying the flour), we are giving away more money this year than ever before. Donations have been made to the Drought Disaster Relief Fund, Hilltop Carer’s Accommodation, The Royal Flying Doctor, Angel Flight, and several other medical and association funds.
Our International Meeting was held at the school, where we enjoyed New Guinea traditional dishes and a talk by Rosemary Ning about her experiences living there.
