CWA — State Conference Resolutions and Land Cookery Success

Our meeting this month was held in the Henty Library. The Delegates gave a report on the State Conference, which was held in Albury.

Resolutions were discussed on various issues including the term “milk”, the Dairy Industry crisis, noxious weeds, public cancer clinics, aged care services, and drought relief. Since CWA is known to have the biggest “Women’s Voice” in our Nation, these motions become CWA policy for lobbying government departments.

A cheque for $35,000 was handed over for the State Medical Project on Endometriosis. The Show Catering Committee presented $145,000, which was the profit from the 2018 Sydney Show.

Lyn Jacobsen received a second prize in the State Land Cookery with her Gluten Free Lamingtons. Our Bunnings BBQ was also a success, helping us raise vital funds.
